PLEDGE 7 = Girl Clown

My next-door-neighbours moved out yesterday. I'm not so cut up about it.

Their front door opens right in front of my bedroom window and somehow, without my prior consent, they kindly insisted on being my daily alarm. The ritual involved over-eager dragging of bicycles out for early morning cycle rides, with way more noise and enthusiasm than should be legal pre-6am. We had scraping of bike bits against the walkway railing, banging of bike bits against said bedroom window, noise noise noise, SLAM (that's the door being closed quietly), then a thump thump thump down the stairs.

Half an hour later, same ritual. Reversed.

They were fine neighbours, really they were. Quiet, polite, celibate - and you couldn't really ask for more.

Except I'm gonna. Ask for more. Let's see if you can guess what by reading about Pledge 7 (hint: it's not clowns!).

Pledge #7 : Girl Clown - The Film

GIRL CLOWN is a short romantic comedy about a girl named Laura, who is painfully shy.
She lives by herself, works as a secretary, and she's secretly in love with her next door neighbor. In a desperate attempt to overcome her shyness, Laura decides to become a professional clown.
This is the story of meek little Laura entering into the colorful and crazy world of clowns, and attempting to find true love.

This blurb broke through into my gooey centre and there may have even been a wee "awwww" moment. I admit to being my own version of "Laura", minus the clowns, and I am really looking forward to seeing this film get made.

Spring is my favourite season (disclaimer: I'll say the same thing when Autumn rolls around) and shooting on location in New York City, in Spring, is my definition of awesome. I hope this project is a dream made in heaven for all those involved.

Best of luck to Crystal Scott and the Girl Clown team.
